Dutch Design October Trade Mission to Turkey

Netherland Turkish Business Association (NETUBA) in cooperation with reputable network partners, organizes a trade mission to Turkey. The cities Istanbul, Adana and Mersin will be visited. In the context of 400 years diplomatic relations with Turkey, this mission will be combined with a unique joint visit to Istanbul by the Mayors of Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam and their delegations. Design, Fashion and Architecture will again be part of the mission. The combination of the various programmes and activities provides an excellent opportunity to meet Dutch business partners. Yard 9 as a member of NETUBA will take part in the 3 day mission and will be open for all business opportunities.

DutchDFA organises a dedicated mission for the creative industries to Istanbul from 14 to 18 October. The mission aims at 20-25 creative companies that are eager to further develop their business activities in Turkey, with an emphasis on design, fashion and architecture. This follow-up mission will be part of the NETUBA mission. Dutch Design Desk Istanbul will provide local support and services for individual companies.

DutchDFA aims to capture and present the creative industries mission and related creative events in this week under the joint umbrella theme of ‘Urban Transformation’, thereby generating more impact. This theme focuses on today’s urban and social challenges in the metropolitan area of Istanbul and enables Dutch architects and designers to present their unique capabilities and solutions to relevant parties in Istanbul. Dutch architects, designers and fashion designers are exceptionally qualified to address local challenges such as: urban planning, building with water, affordable housing, re-use of (historical) buildings, sustainable product design, process design, visual communication, branding and packaging, new fashion concepts and high-quality street wear.
